Meditation Class

It is said, meditation is transformative.  "it moves us from unconciousness to awareness, from tension to relaxation, from being scattered to being centered, from a shallow relationship with our environment and ourselves to a deeper one..."

Monday evenings for an hour, we practice meditation to develp the mindfulness and awareness that allow us to better deal with the ups and downs of life.  Each hour includes a small bit of explanation, half an hour of sitting which includes 15 minutes or so of guided instruction and 15 minutes of silent meditation, and then 10 or so minutes in zoom breakout rooms to share in a smaller group.

No experience is necessary. Members of the class have been quite successful in working though initial jitters, doubts and misconceptions about what is involved in meditation practice.
