The Temple Emet Bible Study Group is about to start the section of the Bible known as “The Later Prophets”. We recently completed the Early Prophets, organized along roughly historical lines. Moving forward, the next section focuses on the prophecies of individual prophets one at a time. The first book in this section is Isaiah. A member of the Judean royal household, Isaiah is believed to be the most sophisticated of the prophets, comfortable at court, writing in a poetic style. Our group reads the text of the book, taking turns, and stopping to discuss questions and key points. If you have been thinking of trying Bible study, this is a good book to start with. You don't need any experience, and you don't have to discuss or read the verses if you don't want to.
